Did anybody go get it, or have family members who did?
I pre-ordered it for my boyfriend and we got it in the mail yesterday morning.

That's all that he's done is play that game since he got it though.

How do you/they like it? Think it's better than Oblivion?

omg my boyfriend loves those types of games...though he never really liked uh morrowind (i think is how you spell it) but yeah he loves playstation,he totally prefers a PS3 to an Xbox 360.
course,i prefer my Gamecube...that there is my baby.that and kingdom hearts,but that really is the only game i like on playstation,me,gamecube and final fantasy go hand-in-hand

my husband LOVES his.. he had a 24 hour shift yesterday.. came home this morning and installed it on his comp.. then played it for HOURS... thought for sure he was gonna fall asleep at the keyboard!

What's Skyrim?

Oh, crap, I think I see a mob of gamers coming to burn me for heresy or something.

I don't have it, nor do I want it, but almost all of my friends have/are getting it. I'm an FPS/Strategy guy, myself. I like guns and missiles more than swords, but to each their own. I just don't see the point in a 300+ hour game.

At the rate that I'm able to play games, it'd take me about a year and a half if I were to complete everything, discounting numerous deaths and random screwing around.

My boyfriend built a $7,000 computer JUST for this game.
Very big deal for him. And the graphics look absolutely beautiful.

I think I'll try to play Morrowind and Oblivion sometime so I can see what the big deal is.
I do enjoy watching him play it though, even if I have no idea how to play.
