Julie turned and walked to the slave quarters without a second glance at Ashley.

Julie sat down on a stack of rags, that sat in the corner of the room and started humming her mother's tune to herself.

Ashley followed then snatched Julie's necklace fastening it around her neck, "What should you have to do? Clean the floor with a toothbrush? Or we can send her to the new plantation..."
