Sleep and Chicks

This may be a silly question. This is my first time with chickens. I have 12 chicks of different breeds that are pretty active. They all take little sleep breaks here and there, but there is one in particular, a RIR, that seems to need a lot more sleep than the others. While the others are running around being active, doing chicken things, this one will stop in the middle of whatever is going on and sleep. She just stands there and sleeps! She'll pop one eye open if a chick bumps her or if she hears a noise, but then closes it and continues to rest. It's comical to watch, but I do wonder if this is normal chick behavior? She does everything else the other chicks do, and seems to be healthy.

Totally normal. They will sleep wherever and whenever the need hits. I see it in mine all the time and in the chicks I have had in the past. One always seems a bit sleepier than the others.

You are welcome. It is hard not to worry when they are so very small.
