Do the baby goslings have periods of sleep before they hatch? Just curious. The one and only goose egg I have experience with seems to move in the egg more at night than in the morning. Any info on this?

I'm not sure when they'd be more active, but yes they do sleep. When they start hatching, you'll notice them pip internally, peep a lot, then go quiet. Then they'll pip, peep, go quiet, start to zip, peep, go quiet, zip some more, peep, go quiet, then eventually hatch

It can take up to 3 days after they pip before they hatch
