sleeping in nest boxes

Anyone have a way to keep them from sleeping in the nest boxes at night. They make a huge mess in them and the eggs get soiled.

Take some gallon jugs of water and put them in the nest to block them where there isn't room for the hens to get in and the jugs are too heavy for them to move and push out.
