Sleeping In Nesting Boxes

So I have 2 chickens that are currently laying eggs and one that will start laying very soon... One of mine that has been laying the longest likes to sleep in the nesting box... Is this okay? And if not, how can I discourage it? Thanks!

They poo in the nesting boxes if you let them sleep in there. It is a personal decision. To encourage them not to, the roosts should be higher than the nesting boxes.

If they are silkies, they love to sleep on the floor.

My chickens do poop in there, but they also use their roost, which is higher than the nesting box. It doesn't create a problem for me, but I was just wondering if it would be a problem for my chickens. Thanks!
