Hello,
I hatched out baby chicks for the first time in March, and the last hatched chick was very small-about half the size of her older brother and sisters. She also slep a lot,and she slept under the heat lamp. She acted wierd from when she pipped, while my mom and I picked up her older sisters, she complained loudly to us,as if she was saying,"help me-I can't get out!"She also let everyone else push her around. She let her brother and sisters get food and water first, she let them roost on top of thier waterer first, and more. The top pullet bullied her because she wouldn't fight back.Is she a bantam? And could that behavior create problems now?She also hatched on day 23.Could that be what caused it?

And,whenever I came up to the brooder, she looked straight at me.

Not yours anymore? Did you give her away or did she pass?
If you have to deal with a smaller than normal chick again, I would suggest taking that chick aside for an individual feeding at least once a day, twice a day if you have the time. Sometimes they just need that extra little boost.
We have a half blind hen. When she was little and we noticed a problem, we gave her the extra feedings and she caught right up. She still looks like a bantam compared to some of my really big girls, but does just fine.

We were not able to give her an indvidual feeding.Mealtimes in the brooder are free world.A hungry chick can just come up and start eating. And this chck didn't eat a lot.She just slept, hid in the corner of the brooder, picked at her food, and slept.

Oh and iv'e heard of roosters being agrrresive to pullets Music's age,and she lives with three roos. Will they hurt her?

Yes, they will hurt her if there are not enough hens for the number of roos. Ten to twelve hens for each roo is a good number, although you can get away with 8 or so.
Too bad you don't live closer. I would have taken her and given her the individual time she needed. I have lots of spare time.

The woman who took her has 49 hens, but will the roos try to breed Music and end up injuring her because she's small and at the bottom of the pecking order?
