Hello!
My baby chick is about 1 week old is getting very sleepy and not moving around much some other chicks have died unexpectedly I think from the cold does anyone have any home remedies I can give him I am giving him some Gatorade if that helps?

I’ve always done the electrolyte pkt fit chickens. Tractor supply sells them. What’s your brooder setup? You said you think another one died from being cold. Is it eating and drinking?

Do you have a heat source? They have to have supplemental heat for 6 weeks until their feathers grow in, unless it is 80 degrees or more round the clock. They can have some gatorade or pedialyte. You can also make some homemade electrolytes with a tsp of sugar and a tiny pinch of salt in an 8 ounce cup of tepid water.

Apple juice has worked for me in the past. You can slice up apples and put in a bowl add a little water in then pop it in the microwave if you do not have organic apple juice.
