Sleepy Chickies!!!! =)

On the way home from picking up my very first flock of chicks, my little chickies were going crazy!! I have never seen a cardboard box shake so much!!

hahahaha!!! SO out of bordem and curiosity I began to whistle "Over the Rainbow". Almost intsantly, they were very quite, and calm. As I continued to whistle, they began to lie down one by one

Slowly but surely, by the end of the song most of they eyes were fluttering shut!! This was a great laugh to start off my Chicken Adventure!!!!

That is so cute. I have found that my humming and singing calms my chickens. They are like my little kids that want to be sung lullabies.
I miss the sound of baby chicks peeping on the way home but have never seen them go to sleep from whistling like you described - you should get it on video to share with us.
