Mine do the same thing. Every so often they peck the glass and give me "the look". You know, the "I know that you have a treat for me. I'd like it now please"

I often have visitors to the sliding door, of course its also the door I toss scraps out of

THe ducks will peck on the door and it sounds like they're knocking.
My RIR stands and gets a LONG neck to see what on EARTH is going on in the house.
