Hi everyone, I have a 4½ year old Bluebell. She is over 3kg, so a big chunky girl who loves being a lap chicken & lots of attention
She's just started losing a few feathers for her annual moult, but I don't think this issue is moult-related.
When she's sat down on the floor or my lap, like a little loaf of bread, she sometimes takes a few breaths with her beak slightly open. She's done it on & off for years and it's 100% different to when they're hot and panting
My question is: with no other symptoms of respiratory distress, is this likely just be because she's sat in a way that is restricting her air flow? Being a bigger bird too perhaps?
Thanks so much in advance
