I have noticed my chicks in the grow out pen have normal looking poop besides some blood tinged colored mucus in it. It is slight, but concerns me. Do you think it might be worms. I dont think it is cocci because they are on medicated feed. They dont act sick what so ever. If it is worms, what would I use to de-worm 3 to 14 week old chicks? Is that even possible?

it could well be either... only a faecal will help you differentiate and treat correctly (sometimes cocci occurs even with medicated feed)... are your birds in a brooder or on the ground?

They are not on dirt, but wood floors. I use to have the goats in the same pen and converted it to a chick pen. I will call the vet today to see if they will do a fecal.

My birds have had bloody poop from time to time. They have never been
medicated nor have I ever lost one to this mystery condition.

When it first happened months back I put them on a 12 hour fast, increased
the supply of grit, shell and sand, and stopped feeding them from a bag of
older sunflower seeds. It cleared it up quickly.

I did notice some of my younger ones with it but that seems to come and go,
mostly go.

The closest vet who would do a fecal is an hour away and insists on doing
an exam. I wish I could find a local lab or maybe just sneek into a local
colleges chemistry or biology lab.

That is what happens with mine. Its not really blood and has come and gone. Today I walked out there and there was only normal looking droppings. Its really hard to find a vet in my area. So, I think I will see how it turns out. They are all gaining weight fine and seem healthy. I to wish there was somewhere close where they could do lab test. My husband thinks I'm being overly worried, but I hate losing any birds.
