only slightly! I rinsed it good and I know those darn chooks will eat most anything but I don't want to give them something gross. Oh I forgot, they're chickens and I don't think there's much that is too gross for them!

anyway, I was just wondering.
 
Yeah, once the leaves start decaying, they are not food anymore, just slime. Hard to throw away stuff, so maybe toss it in your compost.
 
they weren't real slimy but I threw them away anyway. can't have my girls eating garbage although I'm sure it would be fine with them!

Course, I feed them moldy bread, mystery things from the fridge, whatever. I figure they don't have to eat it, but they usually scarf it down!
 
Nope. Anything rotten/decomposing does not go to my chickens. That is just asking for problems.

Stale, yes. Freezer burnt, yes. Rotten, never.
