At first we thought it was splayed leg but after researching more I think it it slipped Tendon. I am afraid it might be to late. We got the ducklings 2weeks ago and noticed this about 5 days ago. We are giving the electrolytes and niacin with starter chicken feed. I have tried to massage and work the leg back and forth and tried to move the tendon back but no luck. Maybe I am not doing it right, I have never done this before. I thought that maybe in the morning when I clean the bedding i could draw a warm bath and let him or her warm up and loosen the leg up then try again. Any help would be appreciated.

So we tried to put the Tendon back but no luck. We decided to try and straighten the leg out for a while and massage and stretch the leg out regularly. Has anyone else been successful with this? What do we do if this doesn't work?

So today we took Howard (our duck with a slipped Tendon) to the vet. He said that with proper therapy and stretching the Tendon 4 to 5 times a day for 4 minutes or so and 2 swimming sessions for 5 minutes or so. He could have a chance to correct the Tendon. The Tendon is springing out of place so we need to stretch it out so it will go back to center of the hock or joint. Then we can work on keeping it there with wrapping and bracing or other methods. He said to watch the legs and make sure they grow parallel. If they are not then we can wrap and brace them to grow that way. So it looks like we have some work to do but looking good.
