Have a week old chick that I thought just had splayed leg but it is not correcting. Working the leg today we heard a clicking sound like the tendon was trying to go back in place but we don’t want to rush it and cause her permanent injury. Anyone have experience with this and the projected recovery time. Everything I’ve seen online says it should correct right away but that’s if you catch it in the first hours - not a week later. 😖

It needs more than a few hours to fix a splayed leg. A few days is more accurate. The picture looks like it could just be splayed.
The chick was a week old at this point (almost 2 now) and had been dealing with it the entire time. We had just been hobbling it with no sign of improvement. I booted the foot just the other day but this morning I found that it managed to get its foot out and is back to hopping around on the one foot. 🤦‍♀
