Slipped tendon in very young chicks? Who has rehabbed these babies successfully?

This is Eeiney. He hatched this week. I thought he had splayed legs and curly toes but I now am positive this is a case of two slipped tendons. I splint his legs last night and put him in a sling. I had previously put tape shoes on him which has straightened his feet out but he still couldn't walk. He's done cup therapy(no improvement and was prior to realizing the tendons) when I check his legs this morning they seemed improved but he was still unable to walk on them. But I did see some improvement and movement that he previously could not do. I've been feeding and watering him and going Ving him some vitamin, probiotics, and moringa too.

My question is who has successfully dealt with this issue? Anyone have one that had both tendons slipped? What did you do? Is there anything else I should be doing to help him?

This is what I've managed to make for Eeiney. It's a mask with leg holes cut out(I had previously used a mesh dog harness in the same way but I couldn't get it hung up the right way) anyways, I took a heavy grinder from the kitchen which just so happened to put him at exactly the right height when I doubled the mask loops and then put him inside my daughter's doll shopping basket to get his feet and legs to be in a slight standing position. He seemed more comfortable when his feet were flat instead of completely suspended.

So does anyone see any possible problems with this setup that I have over looked? How long should he stay like this? I had put him in splints at about 8 pm yesterday and check them at around ten am today I could see improvement but the tendons still would come out of place when he tried to walk 😔 any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

I have to commend you on your effort and ingenuity to help this poor baby! :hugs I will tag a few experts who may be able to help you. Good luck! @azygous @Eggcessive. @Wyorp Rock

Make sure that your vitamin contains riboflavin on the label. If not use human vitamin B complex or super B complex and give 1/4 tablet daily crushed and mixed into a spoonful of water given orally a few drops at a time. Is there any way to put food and water in front of the chick in the sling? I would take it out of the sling often and let it try to move around to strengthen legs. Here is a good link about sling chairs with food and water:
