I have a 6 week old turkey that has slipped tendons on both legs. I have fixed it wrapped it and then fixed it and wrapped it again...🤦‍♀️ is there anything I can do for her??? Eats drinks and gets around ok considering. Im thinking I just need to out her down but figured I would ask and see if anyone has some ideas.
Thank you!!!

Perosis is a vitamin deficiency. Mainly manganese, and choline. What are you feeding? Generally once legs start turning it may be too late to fix.

They have been getting 28% chick starter since they were born. She is the only one with this problem. 😔

Is it formulated for Turkey poults? You could try daily poultry vitamins to see if it helps. I'd do it for a week or two. Orally, maybe 3-5 ml. Be careful so it doesn't aspirate. Go slow giving it and let it swallow.

Thank you. Anything is worth a try and yes the starter is for turkey poults.

This year I had 1 chick star gazing out of 15 on the same feed. So I would assume some already have some sort of predisposition to vitamin deficiencies.
