i believe my 4 day old silkie chick has a slipped tendon. (favors one leg, the other wont extend at the hock joint, holds it out to the side just slightly, toes curled) i've already gone through and tried to read some threads on that, but this is what i want to know (if ANYONE can help me, please) -
i've been to https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry#chick_crooked_leg, and i'm trying to slip the tendon back into place by extending the joint and sort of pushing where theres a little bump on the side, but i dont want to be too rough. i feel like im hurting the poor thing. should it feel like im hyper-extending the joint in order for it to slip back in? i havent wanted to push that hard and do more damage, but i havent really *felt* anything slip back into place.
anyone thats actually done this, could you help me please?
