slipped tendon

so one of my baby turkeys (3 weeks old) slipped a tendon and i traveled 100 miles to see a bird vet. the vet was nice and all. show me how to wrap its leg and stuff. she also gave me meds called Meloxicam for the swelling and pain but didnt know if this will effect the meat or eggs if the turkey is a girl. was wondering if anyone had any experience with this drug or know anything about if it effects the meat of the bird.
also why is it rare to find a farm vet that will see turkeys? chickens no problem but turkeys no way. lol thanks much

If your turkey makes it to adulthood. That medicine should be long out of the system.

There should be no ill effects.
