Hi everyone,
I am going through slipped tendon on a 24 hour old bantam. I’ve got her in a slipped tendon sling. Her feet are taped, and her legs are loosely wrapped with the medical leg wrap tape. I was unable to wrap it too tightly, as I was trying to do it by myself. But i believe it’s bulky enough so that she can stretch but not bend her legs. Question: I feel like the weight of the medi wrap may be really heavy and could be pulling down her little legs too much? I didn’t put too much on, maybe 1/2” wide by 4” in length?

Also I’ve read multiple different accounts of how long to leave it. Should I leave for up to 5 days?

im super nervous to go to bed and have her circulation cut off or something terrible.
Thanks everyone!

:hugsI had a few hatch with this. I did just as you are doing and left them wrapped for 2 days then checked to see if they are standing right. If they are watch her closely for setbacks. Wrap again if needed. If her feet are warm she should be fine for the night.I would take mine out of the sling and put then in a bowl with towels that prop them up for the night. Good luck with your baby.:fl
