Songster
I've got 13 hens and I had one rooster. He was a little vigorous with 10 of those hens and a lot vigorous with at least 4. I finally removed him almost 3 months ago and recently found him a new home. One hen's feathers still hasn't grown back and she was the worst. There are a few others who have a little bald spot on there backs still. Is it normal to take so long for the feathers to grow back or is there something I need to do to help them out? There a year old now and I give them a mixture of pellets and chick starter. Someone had said giving them some chick starter mixed in will help with the feathers and also the eggs.
Thanks

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
