I got this sapphire gem from TSC. She was dark gray with no head spot.

She has super thick legs and is feathering in incredibly slowly compared to the other sexed pullets I bought. She’s almost 3 weeks old and still no tail feathers.

I thought this was a sex link breed, but other sources don’t seem to say that. Every other slow feathering chick I’ve had has ended up being a cockerel.

Still looking pullety?

I once had a pullet of a different sexlinked type (Red Sexlink) that was very slow to grow her feathers. Yes she was a female, but she looked nearly naked for a long time after the other chicks had all their feathers.

I can't be positive about yours right now, but it definitely is possible to have a female that grows feathers more slowly than most other chicks.

That does help, thanks!
