And here is Slow Mama's last day to be in that tree, she's getting evicted (nest, eggs and all) and put in the coop this evening

She can't be bothered to get down and eat feed from the feeder I sat out for her, she waits for "breakfast" time to join us

Nothing like quality nutrition of oatmeal and left over cup-o-noodles for a broody. I tried to toss out some feed next to the bowls but none was touched.

Here is the tree that she is sitting in. It's where all the chickens & guineas go every night. It's full of old blackbird nests. That metal thing is a dog kennel DH is building

Slow Mama's dust bath. Dust baths are a priority for broodies

Scratching in the chopped corn silage I tossed out for them & drinking out of the bucket they ALL prefer

And here's where the fun starts, the climb up into the tree to her nest

That's a really good question! LOL!

I got a ladder, now I need to figure out how I (or I should say DH

) is going to pick her up and move her without her un-skinning his arm or clawing his eyes out

Did I mention Slow Mama was never a 'people person'?

That is multiplied by many times now that she's broody!

I love the pictures, but I have a question for you. I noticed 2 little roos in the pictures. The brown and white one in the front. What color and breed is it? I have one similar to it and don't know what the color is. I would like eventually to get him a hen or two later on for breeding. Thanks
