Slowest Built Coop in the World

It is a sweet coop, love the rooster on the back, also lacy looks like a great forman...ah, forechicken! lol. Good luck on the rest, looks super, cant wait for the inside tour!

I kept scrolling down hoping to see the inside!! What are your coop's dimensions? Can we see the inside when you get a chance? I'm planning a 4-chicken coop on stilts just like that (well, less fancy, but similiar size I think anyway).

From my head. This started out as an upright coop in 2004 built on a skid/pallet in my den. I always use screws in my building projects so I can tweak it later & move it.

When my roo was killed by a raccoon in the summer of 2005, I moved my chooks into the house. Now I have a blue silkie roo that needs to move out of the house. That's why I modified the upright coop into a mini barn this summer.

The over all dimensions are 7ft x 4ft, or 28 sq ft total. My roo & 4 silkie hens will be moving in once I've added the automated electronics.

Lucky, Lacy & Miss Ohio will continue to live in my home.

I will take some inside pics tomorrow. Like I said earlier tho, it needs a floor, roosts, interior walls, etc. I don't use nesting boxes, so I won't be adding those.

I feel your pain. My coop has been a never ending project since April. I have on my to-do list for the weekend more modifications. It's a great feeling to think that I built the coop myself ("No, my Dad did not help me"), but this is when I really want a Honey, so I can have a honey-do list!

I have in my long term plans a complete rebuild! I didn't take seriously the part about getting eggs out everyday and I'm trying all sorts of modifications to make reaching the eggs easier.
