slowing down in egg production

we have six chickens and they have decreased in egg production we usually get 5 or 6 eggs a day and now we are down to 2 eggs a day and we are not sure why this has happened. we give them layer feed they have hay in their nesting boxes and they always have water and excess to the outdoors so we are not sure what is going on. does anyone have any advise for me and how to up their egg production thanks

. It doesn't take long before the eggs productions will return to normal..there are a number a reason wny egg production slows down, stress, weather too hot, change environment or they could be going through there first molt,
