Slugs and Chickens

My mama hen ate some slugs.
Is it okay for them to eat slimy slugs???
The slugs in our yard are super fat cause they don’t get bothered by us or others animals.
Here are pictures of the same type of slugs she ate.

They were just so slimy!
It was gross!
My other hen didn’t like them so much though

She’ll be absolutely fine, mine are always eating slugs lol . They have a tendency to be attracted to the water in this hot weather.

I thought so too but i keep finding ones that have drowned in our water bowl so maybe they’re looking for water in the hot weather?

Could be. We found ours in the garden eating our plants.

Mine eat them too! In my area slugs and especially snails can host worms so you’ll want to pay attention to that. My vet told me she sees most worm issues when chickens have access to wooded areas.
I figure it’s the price for having happy chickens!
