Hey,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been very busy.
I've just came upon a new problem in my coop, we have a a feeder that is slightly raised from the ground and stores 2-3 days of food before we have to refill it for the hens. Recently because the weather hashas gotten bad we have gotten a lot of slugs eating the chicken food and getting into the feeder, I was jw if anyone knew if there were any safe and healthy ways to stop them getting into the food. I have googled a few option but ik not sure if they are 100% fine for the chickens,
Thanks:)

Hmmm, so if I feed my poultry the right stuff, additional food, in the form of slugs, will go marching right into their run?

Try making some sort of water moat around the base of the feeder by sitting it on bricks in a large water pan. Or sprinkle some salt around the base of the feeder if it under cover. But you shouldn't have to bring in a feeder at night if you have a good feeder and if the feeder is in a closed coop away from large animals.
