How do I get rid of them? I noticed this morning that their food was mashed and gross looking. I thought maybe morning dew had gotten it too damp. Just went out to check on the chicks before going to bed (it's only their 4th night outside in the coop) and noticed slugs all over their food. Should I just bring their food in at night?

I have the feeders in the coop, to discourage wildlife. My run isn't covered, so the feeders aren't there, either. I do spread some scratch or flock raiser in the run in the morning, but nothing outside of the run. It's also cut way down on the night time coons and possums visiting! Damp feed spoils fast; at least put it up un blocks or something. Mary

I guess I'll just have to put it up at night. My run is basically a dog kennel so the slugs slither right through the holes in the fencing and through the hardware cloth on the coop. I have their food up on cinderblocks. I got some DE hoping it would help but I can't tell much difference yet.
