Slugs in the coop

I'm not too worried about this, but I have noticed slugs in the open part of my coop at night and they get under the watered in the coop. Yuck! I don't know if the birds know they are there.
 
Uh i know salt kills slugs... But um i cant remeber i think if the hens it eat them its bad for them or not i want to say it is but cant remember.

Slugs, snails, crickets, grasshoppers and certain beetle species are a vast reservoir for both infection and reinfection of chickens with internal parasites.

It is unimportant what the slugs etc bring to the party, what is important however is keeping out uninvited house guests, especially those that may harm your birds.
