Slugs

Will DE keep slugs out of the coop? Just went to check on new babies and at least a dozen slugs everywhere including the feed. If no any other suggestions.

Yes, DE will dry them out.

I'm surprised that the chickens didnt eat them... ducks love them..

My hens eat every slug they find, even the huge ones. Another thing that will keep them out are fireplace ashes. They do not cross a line of ashes around a garden.

salt. lots of salt, dont put it in the feed but you can put it around the coop. If you dont want to use DE. It dries them out nearly instantaniously.
