slvin dust 5%

Sevin dust (carbaryl) isn't approved for chickens anymore (labeling stopped in 2009 for chickens I believe), although it worked very well.

Poultry dust is available at the feed store or online (permethrin). DE is a preventative, but not great for killing an infestation, at least in my experience. Woodstove ashes are also a good preventative.

There is also liquid permethrin, which is diluted. Don't forget to spray your coops with something too, as there is a mite that can live in the crevices.

Some do a dirt bath with DE, sand, dirt, and woodstove ashes all mixed up.
