We have had such bad luck with our 8 "pullets" we ordered from the local Agway so far 3 have been roos and I'm afraid we aren't done.

Although I know it is still early to really say for sure, I wanted to give you guys a crack at it. I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures, I now have a new appreciation for the difficulty involved!

Note: Both birds were fairly cheeezed off in these pictures by the time we took them. In addition to being corralled and photographed by us they had just both been run all over the place by our big EE roo. Bob does not seem to particularly care for them. So they are a little redder in the face than they are normally, one more than the other but I couldn't say which tbh.

Oh this is turning out better than I thought!

I will work on getting leg pictures this evening.

My other birds were just so obviously roos. I had no I idea what to look for with this breed.

You guys are fantastic.

At 15 weeks, my two SLWs look like that, so I'm guessing I have pullets too? They both have bright yellow legs.

This was them at 9 weeks; I don't have any current pics loaded.

Mine, now at 15 weeks, don't have combs & wattles even half the size of his, so I'm pretty sure I have pullets!

Yup yup, bunch o girls. If they were male, you'd see a patch of wide spreading over their shoulders by now. Grats on the gorgeous gals!
