That is a very bad arrangement as in high risk for the chicken. Catch him by any means tomorrow. If he is the last out, odds are he will approach your coop making it easier to trap him.

You could also grab him by leg with a piece of wire.

Put on some old cloths and grab him by the neck. Let him flop if he wants but get him out of there.

I chase such through night in high weeds. Ground roosting without good dogs is extremely stupid.

Ya know, he was in the coop earlier but I didn't shut the door bc I thought that maybe Pebbles would follow him in. Well she didnt.. then I thought that maybe she was sleeping with him at night but I was wrong about that bc she'a not with him. I know better tomorrow!

Oh no!!! Lol!!! If I get someone to shine a light at him, will it stun him enough to where I can come up behind him?

Possibly. You or someone is going to have act like a predator if you think he will bolt. Right up front you want to restrain him proper when you grab him so he does not get away. Ignore squalling if he does it.

I would have some one shine him and talk a lot as you approach very quietly from the dark. Just before you make grab shine light away so he is still blinded.

My mind is wandering how this will play out. Location for me would require crawling on belly.
