Small farm hobby ideas for profit

I find too many drawbacks from having a goat with horns. I get enough cuts and bruises from the scurs. Plus, too many potential lawsuits if someone, or someone else's animal, got hurt.

There are many drawbacks to having goats with horns, sure, especially if you have them around children or visitors to your farm. But I actually love horns on my goats. I think they make them look so much better. Since the only people around my goats are experienced, I leave mine on.

I guess I've just had too many close calls personally to want goats with horns. Ironically, half my herd has horns at the moment. Three are bucks going to auction in the fall. Two are does...behavior around the kids will dictate which way I go with them. No extra money at kidding time meant no call to the vet.

I refuse to go the dehorning route with my goats it is disbuding or allowing the horns to grow. I am not cut out to be the vet's assistant in those situations.
