I live in South Carolina and have signed up to go in September and take a class to recieve small flock certification. Looking at the class schedule, I think we will be learning a good bit on raising chickens, nutrition, getting rid of pests and predators, diseases, etc.
I was wondering if anyone else had been through any classes like this and what should I expect from it?
And what exactly does it mean to be "Small Flock Certified"?
