small flock size: ratio gander to goose

Thinking ahead for overwintering our flock of Buffs, what is a good ratio of males to females? I know many people go with three, with one being male but if we have two males and say four females, will the ganders be too competitive? We are considering two males because we do have predators that occasionally harass us and if something happened to the single male if we kept a trio, we'd be starting from scratch again in the spring. Thanks in advance for the benefit of your experience.

I would think the 2 trios would be just fine. I had a pair but then lost the original female so I got 2 females to replace her.
