I am brain storming here... thoughts and suggestions please. I have a nice coop and setup for my layers and there roo. My thought though is.... what do y'all think about a ruffly 2x8 foot tractor for like two birds or multiples of these for a garden spot to eat all the grass and fertilize the ground. They would be moved regularly. Basicly I am looking for the equivalent of goats. Just grass eating machines. Is that enough for them or would I need to give them feed as well. I am thinking a 2x8 rectangle with PVC hoops and chicken wire and and basic shelter with water. Very simple and light. Predators. Aren't an issue, so that's a plus. What breed would be best for this application? Thoughts... comments... advice...
