Keep it clean, apply triple antibiotic ointment and keep her on clean dried bedding.

So after looking at it more, it definetely was a prolapsed vent. And she is actually a he as I could see his genitals exposed. Thankfully I was able to clean the vent with some saline and with some gentle massages I was able to get it back in. I am not 100% sure what to do now but I’m going to keep him in the incubator for a little longer as it has more moisture and I worry about the vent drying out even if it’s back in now.

once I know he is good I’m going to move him to a brooder probably tomorrow. The other goslings I ordered are supposed to be here tomorrow so the timing should line up. I’m noticing a little bit of splay legs but it’s nothing I haven’t dealt with before
