small layer duck

I have a mallard mix drake, he is approximately 4-5 pounds. I want a female about his size that will lay frequently and has a similar body type to him. Any suggestions?

I believe a Welsh Harlequin would be a similar size, and they are great layers.

What are personality to they tend to have? My drake gets bored easy with birds that are unintelligent and/or lazy.
