Small mass in blue silkie bantam

Poultry Cell or Poultry NutriDrench are two good vitamin/electrolyte products at feed stores, and you could give her a couple of drops a day orally for a few days to see if it helps her gain some strength. I would only use it up to 5 days. She is a real cutie.
I gave her nutri drench concentrated from a syringe for two days a few days ago. I basically just touched her beak to the bead of nutri drench at the end of the syringe. She responded well. Before and after that, the entire flock of babies have recieved nutri drench in their drinking water. They are doing really well on it. Youngest chicks are ten days, oldest are 17.

I am really impressed with nutri drench. I think from now on every time i start babies I'll be using it. These chicks seem to be growing even more healthily and stronger than my chicks before. Except for little blue that is! I need to come up with a name, otherwise little blue is going to stick, and that's not a very creative name! Ha ha

The feed store probably did something to it. They don't know what the heck they are doing.
I concur that a lot of feed store employees don't know what they're doing. But we live in a very rural area, so the employees are pretty well versed in poultry. From what i read the infection most often takes place in the incubator and shipping.
Regardless, she seems to be doing really well, i just posted a video of her chasing down another chick that had what she wanted, and she won! Ha ha. I hope she stays on this upward trend, 10-14 days is usually all that they will make it, and it's now day 11 for her.
