I a Blue Red Cubalaya rooster in with EE's and they are dwarfing him. They are ready to be moved out to the outside brooder but my lil ROo roo is not. Will he be alright inside by himself? Should i leave few in with him? I am worried about leaving him in with the bigger chicks that he may get hurt. They are all 3 wks old.

If your rooster was raised with the other chicks from hatching, and the other chicks are simply larger but not abusive, then there really isn't any reason to separate him out now. He considers them his ladies, even if he's the one who's petite. I know of someone who raised a Buff Orpington hen, an Americauna hen, and a White Silkie rooster all from chickdom together without problems. Another person I know has RIRs and Wyandottes with an Americauna rooster. As long as the hens aren't beating on the little guy and they've been together since the start, he should be okay.

Ok that is good to know. Now I wonder though if he will need more heat than the bigger chicks! They have most of their feathers and he only has a few wing feathers.
