Smaller Eggs? What causes that?

I am noticing a decrease in the actual size of the eggs. Feed and water are the same. It is hotter as the summer progresses here in Jacksonville. We were getting some enormous eggs and a couple of my girls were egg bound as a result. I am wondering if anyone else notices changes in the actual size of the eggs. Seriously, some were huge like goose eggs now they are small.

Is it the temperature?

It could be the heat. Mine aren't really laying smaller but I'm not seeing any bigger-than-average eggs like I was in the spring. They are panting and searching out mud puddles (which I provide them in the shade) now so it wouldn't surprise me.
