We have a red ranger (about 7-8 weeks old) that has always been substantially smaller then all of it's brethren that we have affectionately referred to as "chicken nugget". About three days ago we noticed that he was not his normal self and had labored breathing and was laying down while everyone else was running about and he stayed that way all day. By days end we decided to take him into the shop and quarantine him from the rest of the group plus the shop stays at about 70 degrees. He is pooping fine, the poops look good and he is also eating/drinking but other then that he has sleepy eyes, typically stands in one spot with labored breathing and his wings are pointing down a little. What to do?
As a side note all still seems well with the remaining 25 or so chickens
