we initially thought that the silkie was laying small eggs.... we had one that was about 2/3 the size of a small egg but this?... it must be the silkie right, it couldn't be an easter egger... ?

it is actually the size of a quarter.... perfectly round and everything.... I mean, how do you even crack something that small?

We had a tiny one like that one time. It was brown so it had to have come from one of our standard hens... either a SLW, a NHR, a SS, or a Golden Comet. I actually did crack it (and ate it, scrambled) and was shocked to see that it was complete, with a yolk and everything!

wind egg?

I cracked the egg this morning.... it was mostly the firm white bit and it has a slight amount of yolk and a bit which looked like it might be a yolk if it had been a bigger egg!

I gave it to the pigs....

Lets see what happens today!
