Smell

I have a question is there something i can put down in my chickens yard to reduce the smell? i mean i keep the coop clean i clean it several times a week with fresh bedding put down every time but it doesnt stop from there yard smelling it doesn't really bother me but i was just wondering what you can do thats safe for them thanks!

Maybe try spraying it down with Orange Guard? Its an all natural bug killer that smells like oranges. You find it at health food stores, and most Ace Hardware store have started to carry it.

Ummm...another thought is adding a few drops of peppermint oil to some water and spray the coop down with that.

raking it out whenever it gets smelly works pretty good too. Don't know how many chickens you have, but the more poop, the more smell.
