I use puppy pee pads with chips on top of them so they are easy to roll up to change to new ones. I use food storage containers with holes I cut in the lids just big enough for them to dunk their head in, as they grow, I switched to bigger ones. Or you can just cut the holes bigger in the same one. They don’t seem to spill as much that way I think the reason they spill a lot when they have those waters that have the outer circular water part with the big container upside down in the middle they just aren’t deep enough, so the ducks are always trying to get their faces into the water. They need to get their nose and eyes under the water, they’re trying to get their heads in and splashing it out. With the food containers that have holes in the lid they just dunked their head right in and they don’t splash anything out. I might have a picture. Let me see. Ok lol you can just see the corner of one in this picture. I’ve put them away for the season . I put a brick on top because that particular container had too many holes in the lid for just three ducklings.
