I need some advice. There's a wildfire about 10 miles from my home right now and although we are at no danger of the fire getting to us, we are still under a smoke advisory. While it isn't really smoky right where we live I'm still worried about our chickens. The air is so hot and heavy. Should I bring them inside? I keep filling their water to keep it cool. I thought about putting ice in it but I'm worried that will shock their systems too much and make them sick. Anybody have any advice?

Many people put ice blocks in their waterers when the weather is excessively hot. Good luck with avoiding those fires.
