It's very hazy here in Sanford. This morning I could barely smell the smoke but by lunch in Durham (where I work) it was getting hazey up there and by the time I got home, the visibility was worse!

I heard that it's supposed to be worse tomorrow morning and then start clearing a little.

It was bad this afternoon in Asheboro. I thought it was going to storm but it turned out to be smoke from Eastern NC. I didn't notice a bad smell but you sure could see it.

They uped the air quality code to orange here today. THe weather man said it would clear up tomorrow due to the change in winds.

I sure hope they get the fire out soon.

A couple of years ago we got smoke from the fires in Florida. A south wind brought it all the way up to NC.

It's bad here in Sanford. It smells like someone burning household garbage. Yuk. Pew

I am in central Va and we have the smoke haze this morning.

The local news indicated there was a shift in the jet stream and it has brought the smoke all the way up here. The day is very hazey/smokey. Kind of like a low lying fog.

My DH had to respond to so many calls because of that fire!! The city of Portsmouth was covered with the smoke. It actually reached up to us here in New Kent. I was pretty surprised by that actually. It does stink!

We have your smoke haze here in Lewisburg, WV. It's pretty thick too.

It's hazy here as well, in Mooresville, NC. (20 min. North of Charlotte) I haven't smelled it but a co-worker said she did.

Today was absolutely gorgeous here. No stinky smoke and no unbearable heat! Went spent the day at a lake.
