What snacks do your chickens love?

Mine love all table scraps, especially ramen noodles and fruit. (Bananas and apples) One time I had leftover pulled pork... they went nuts and devoured all of it! In the winter, since there’s no grass.... I have been giving them spinach. They love it! But I do buy scratch grains and meal worms too.

I have never given my chickens meat, but i plan too. What meat would be the best for them?

One treat that I feel good about giving any day or every day is their food wetted into a mash. They think it's candy! I can use up the bits and dust left from the pellets, I can warm it up on these sub cold days, and I can sprinkle other things on top if I want to dress it up. Also, I can add a bit of electrolytes to help deal with the cold, and know that they're actually getting them. Since I'm using up food that they otherwise wouldn't eat, it's very economical too.

That's a great idea! I heard that when you wet or soak their feed (pellets) that it helps boost them into egg laying. I don't know if it is true, but i do know that they love it! Electrolytes in it is a good idea too.
I was thinking, if you had a sick chicken that wouldn't eat pellets, that you could soak the feed and then give the water that had the nutrients of the feed to the sick chicken. It might work, just a idea.:D

Is it just my chickens, or are all chickens not a fan of mint? I have tried to give them some because it is good for them, but after one peck, they leave it alone.
i gave mine a leaf fo spearmint once and they ate it :idunno

i'd assume that fat meat wouldnt be healthy, because... its not really nutritional? but i think ive heard people feeding them meat when it gets really cold

Mine don’t like mint. I grow mint right outside my run fence (on the off chance it repels flies, plus the pollinators like it when it blooms) where they could peck at it if they wanted, but they don’t.

I do break off sprigs and throw them in the coop and nesting box to help a bit with odors. The flock doesn’t seem to mind it in the coop, but have no interest in eating it.
