How old should my chick be before I give them worms or bugs to eat?

Probably when they are fully feathered out when they are in their permanent pen when they are foraging for bugs and worms anyways.

One of my chicks found a bug in the deep litter at one week of age. She went wild over the find...and did not seem hurt by it. I made sure to give them grit at that point.

I was giving mine small garden worms at just a couple weeks old, they also needed grit but the did go nuts over the worms.

Funny part is now as adults they have no interest in worms. DOH!
